It’s always summer inside.

My parents live in the Southwestern U.S.  I’ve been out there several times.

That pretty much ruined most of the East Coast’s Mexican food for me.  There are a lot of places out here that serve food they may very well be buying at Taco Bell and bringing it through the back door.

Not Fins though.  While it’s not what you would consider truly Mexican food it’s a great “Mexi-Cali”  take on it.

The ingredients are high quality and fresh.  Their takeout trays and cups are eco-friendly Bioware. The menus is extremely affordable, and it’s worth mentioning that it’s BYOB. If that’s not your thing, or even if it is, they’re fresh made to order smoothies are a perfect addition to your meal. If you happen to be visiting the beach they’ll also deliver there. You can order your coconut-battered tilapia and grilled pineapple burrito, crab quesadillas, and a smoothie with ingredients from Lulo nectar (really hard to find on the East Coast), coconut, peaches, blueberries, or a million other ingredients, and they’ll bring it down to the closest beach entrance to where you’re at.

So whether you go to Fins in Bradley or Brick, or enjoy it while lounging around on the beach it’s worth a couple bucks to try it out.  Also check out their 2-4 happy hour with $4 large smoothies and $1.50 fish tacos.

  1. Fins is the most amazing restaurant on the Jersey shore for this fact: they deliver on the beach! This thing jet rockets from the might be realm to the IS COOL kingdom and shall remain there as long as they keep delivering to the beach. I mean, who doesn’t want fantastically made Baja-style Mexican fare right on the beach with the ocean wind in your face?
